Fair Lawn police are warning residents about an increase in car thefts in the town – especially the theft of vehicles left unlocked.
Police released a video from a recent burglary in which thieves got into a dark car before driving away.
Authorities are reminding residents to always lock their vehicles and homes, never keep valuables like wallets, phones and laptops in their cars and have a security camera system that can save recordings.
Residents should always report suspicious activity to the police.
