Brett Favre and the Jets went 8-3 and sat on top of the AFC East before losing four of their last five games. The team?s collapse led to the Jets missing the playoffs for a second straight season.
Mangini served as the Jets? coach for three seasons and ultimately finished with a 23-26 record. The search for a new coach is already under way.
