More than 200 people were left without power Wednesday after a piece of construction equipment collapsed at a PSEG substation in Ridgefield.
The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the substation near Hendricks Causeway and Fulton Place.
Officials say a pile driver collapsed, which knocked over utility poles and power lines. This left 260 PSEG customers without power.
PSEG crews were on scene working to repair the damage. Power has been mostly restored to the customers who were affected.
No one was injured during the incident.
