Edison water main break: Repairs expected to be completed today

The break has particularly affected residents of the trailer park next to Ben Franklin Elementary School. Not only have they gone days without running water, but they've also been unable to enter or exit the trailer park due to construction on the only street leading into it.

Day six of the Edison water main break has left around 80 residents still without water. However, town officials are optimistic that repairs will be completed by the end of the day, restoring water to the affected areas.
The break has particularly affected residents of the trailer park next to Ben Franklin Elementary School. Not only have they gone days without running water, but they've also been unable to enter or exit the trailer park due to construction on the only street leading into it.
Dawn Spinola, a resident of the trailer park, expressed frustration, saying "We're stranded; we can't get out. We can't even have food delivered." Another resident, Kathy Henderson, shared her concerns, stating "It's just not knowing what's been going on down there and when it might be over." John Noone, also a resident, pointed out the need for maintenance, saying "Unfortunately, nobody ever does maintenance until something actually breaks, and this was a bad one."
The township has offered an overnight stay at the Sheraton for those still without water. Although there are no known contaminants in the water, a boil water advisory remains in effect for all of Edison.
