A water main break at the corner of Thornal Road and South Wood Avenue in Edison left two buildings without water Friday.
Middlesex Water Company expects service to Buildings 33 and 70 to be restored by midnight. They are currently assessing the damage and have not at this point identified which pipe is broken.
Tenants of the affected buildings will be put on a boil-water advisory for 48 hours from the time the pipe is fixed. Once the water has been tested and deemed safe, the advisory will be lifted.
