Authorities in Edison say they have made their largest seizure in assets during a massage parlor raid on Thursday, May 8.

Over $750,000 in assets were seized during a raid at Bliss Spa on Woodbridge Avenue and at the manager's home in connection to prostitution and drugs.

Edison police say $600,000 in cash was found inside a teddy bear at the manager's home. They also seized a 2025 Tesla Model Y, a Rolex and a Cartier watch.

Daniela Diienno, 47, of Edison, is charged with money laundering, promoting organized street crime, promoting prostitution and maintaining a house of prostitution.

Four others were charged with engaging and soliciting prostitution:

  • Vanessa Bosada, 30, Maspeth, NY

  • Eduarda Beilfus, 26, Newark, NJ

  • Maria Palacios, 45, Yonkers, NY

  • Alisson Cunningham, 26, Roselle, NJ

The mayor says these arrests were made because of a stricter town ordinance passed in 2022.

"It's where our health department, zoning, and police department are all working together," said Edison Mayor Sam Joshi. "And the council was also a part of this as well because they passed an ordinance so that once they shut down, they are not able to open back up again."

This raid follows the nine massage parlors that were busted in 2022. Police arrested 20 people and say the businesses were dealing in prostitution and drugs. The majority of them are located along the Route 27 corridor.

Since 2022, the mayor says $1,309,677.46 and three vehicles have been seized.

"The $1.3M asset forfeiture money is used by the police department to further other missions for the department, the vehicles will be used as undercover vehicles and the watches will be auctioned off,” said Joshi.
