High school students and staff at J.P. Stevens High School in Edison were evacuated Thursday morning due to a gas leak.
Officials say a natural gas odor was discovered in the vicinity.
First responders arrived and the leak was an easy fix, according to fire officials on the scene.
News 12 New Jersey was told students and staff returned to school a short time later with classes resuming by 10 a.m.
