‘It only takes one ticket to win’: Edison Quick Stop hopes good luck streak continues as Mega Millions jackpot swells

The Mega Millions jackpot has over $1 billion up for grabs. It's the fourth largest prize pot in the lottery's history.
The Edison Quick Stop, a family-owned convenience store along Inman Avenue, continues to draw in significant foot traffic as people are hoping to draw a winning ticket. The store has pulled out some of the biggest winners, including a $202 million Mega Millions ticket that was sold.
“People, whenever they come here, they always expect to win because they’ve seen so many people winning. It only takes one ticket to win,” a cashier at Quick Stop said.
There's a $527.9 million cash prize option for the Mega Millions winner. The next drawing is Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 11 p.m. One Mega Millions ticket costs $2 per play.
