A Dumont Girl Scout troop opened a time capsule buried by their counterparts in 1987.
The time capsule sat undiscovered for decades until contractors found it while building a new Borough Hall.
The present-day troop got to sit by as the capsule was opened. Inside, they found drawings, notes, news clippings and other artifacts from the 1980s.
The Scouts filled the time capsule again with items from 2024. It is set to be dug up in another 25 years.
