One person was killed when a Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department vehicle collided with another car.
New Jersey State Police say that the collision happened just before 2 p.m. Wednesday on Belmar Boulevard and Adrienne Road in Wall Township.
Officials say that the sheriff’s vehicle was traveling along Belmar Boulevard when it collided with the car, which was coming off one of the side roads. The driver was killed. The two sheriff’s officers were not injured.
State police say that the cause of the crash is under investigation.
