Police: E-bike operator seriously injured following Norwalk crash

The operator of an e-bike was seriously injured following a crash involving a motor vehicle in Norwalk Monday afternoon, police say.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. at intersection of Fort Point Street and Osbourne Avenue.

The operator of the e-bike was taken to Norwalk Hospital. It's not clear if anyone else was injured.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and traffic was affected in the area for a time.

The roadway has since reopened.

Police have not provided details on what led to the crash.
