Slow start for travel as snow cleanup continues in Clark

Getting out the door was slow for many New Jersey residents Monday as crews continued clearing roads in places like Clark where about 10 inches of snow kept people off the road Sunday.

Today, many are venturing out to go to places like grocery store and gas stations.

"I work for Instacart," said Donna, a shopper at the store. "The shelves are all stocked, except for the chicken. The other day I came, there was nothing. All wiped out, but today it's good."

Essential workers were also back on the roads since NJ Transit commuters were unable to take the train during the morning hours.

Hoboken asks residents to clear sidewalks

Hoboken Public Safety Director Ken Ferrante is reminding residents that clearing sidewalks is the responsibility of property owners.

"We ask everybody for their sidewalks to be clean," he said. "Please salt and shovel."

Ferrante said inspectors will be moving throughout Hoboken to check sidewalk conditions and hold homeowners responsible if areas are not cleared.
