News 12 sat down with Optimum’s Chairman and CEO, Dennis Mathew, to discuss the cable provider’s recent work to evolve its products and offerings. All this is being done to bring consumers more choice, flexibility, and value when selecting their preferred TV services.

Amid large-scale consumer migration away from traditional cable and towards various streaming solutions, Optimum states they are evolving their products and offerings to ensure customers have the best options available to them and are kept at the center of these decisions.

Mathew highlights the challenge in getting others in the industry on the same page, especially as it relates to content fees and requirements from programmers on specific carriage terms, “At the heart of the matter is that customers should not have to pay for content that they don’t watch.”
