The rate of women dying during pregnancy keeps increasing in New Jersey.
A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association says Black women saw the largest jump. The death rate for them increased to 110 deaths per 100,000 births in the last decade than the decade prior. This is more than double the mortality rate.
Rates for Hispanic women were also higher.
Some say this is due to the racial divide in health care.
