Temperatures across New Jersey are expected to be in the upper-80s to mid-90s over the course of the next few days.
This type of heat – especially when it is prolonged – can be dangerous for children, the elderly and even pets.
News 12 New Jersey spoke with Dr. Erin Muckey, medical director of University Hospital’s emergency department, about potentially lifesaving advice when dealing with the heat.
