A decorative sculpture of a helicopter detached from the ceiling of the DreamWorks Water Park at the American Dream mall Sunday afternoon – injuring four guests, the park said in a statement.
It said that the structure “became detached and landed in a pool below.”
According to the park, three guests were treated for minor injuries and left the park. The fourth guest was transported to a hospital for further care.
“The safety of our guests is our highest priority. We will conduct a thorough investigation into this incident to ensure the park meets all safety regulations as required,” the statement concluded.
The American Dream mall posted on Twitter Sunday night that DreamWorks Water Park will be closed on Monday. The mall advised customers who purchased tickets for Monday to check their emails and to visit its website for more information.
