Flooding is still ongoing along the Passaic River. The water is slowly beginning to recede, but it won't be until the weekend before the river is contained back within its banks. Unfortunately, there is another rain event for Tuesday into Wednesday of next week that could re-aggravate the flood issue again in that particular watershed.
TONIGHT: The coldest night of the year on the first night of winter - how appropriate. Lows in the teens and the low-20s under mainly clear skies.
FRIDAY: Sunny and cold. Daytime highs struggle to reach 40.
WEEKEND: Filled with clouds but storm-free. Warmer too. Back to the 50s for New Jersey.
CHRISTMAS EVE: Overcast and dry. High of 49 degrees. Lows around 35.
CHRISTMAS DAY: Partly Sunny, dry with daily highs in the low-50s.
COMING UP: Rain Tuesday into Wednesday. Highs remain in the 50s until next Friday.
