A water main break is impacting service to some Hoboken residents.
Veolia Water says crews are working to repair a 10-inch water main near the intersection of Madison and Seventh streets. They say that a contractor working in the area hit the line, causing the break.
A boil water advisory was issued for residents between Fifth and 10th streets, from Adams Street to the western border of Hoboken.
"Residents and businesses in the impacted area should boil their water for at least one minute for the following, even if their water is filtered at home," Veolia wrote in a statement.
Seventh Street is closed between Madison and Jackson streets while repairs are being made.
“Residents in the vicinity may experience water pressure fluctuations while repairs are underway,” Veolia wrote.
This latest break comes several days after a citywide boil water advisory was lifted in Hoboken. That advisory was issued after a water main break on Newark Street last week.
