And we have heard of salt shortages for some towns and cities. Crews are getting ready this morning. Newstal's Tony Caputo live in Morris County, and Tony, officials there, they're gearing up, but how much road salt do they have ready to go? Well, we're gonna ask Jeff Paul that right now. Morris County Office of Emergency Management brought us inside the heartbeat, if you will. Well, they'll keep tabs on everything that happens this weekend. Jeff, thanks for joining us this morning. Appreciate you getting up nice and early with us. Uh, how are you looking on salt? I mean, we were in Piscataway yesterday, and they are bone dry when it comes to rock salt. Well, we could always use more. We have salt, but we're working on getting a load hopefully today. Um, so everybody's in the same boat with regards to that based on the prior storms. If, if we were at the dome now, which we're not, where you keep the salt, would we see what we saw yesterday where the mayor joked that he could have a wedding reception in there? Well, I haven't, I haven't been there for a wedding reception yet. I'll be down there later today, uh, so we'll see how that's going, but we are talking about, uh, getting a load. So, uh, but I haven't been down to see the current, uh, you know, quantity. Are you, uh, not alone in this? Is this a statewide thing and a lot of towns are just having a lot of counties having problems getting their hands on some rocks on. Yeah, I think it's, you know, obviously we've had a lot of salt, uh, dispersed in the last, you know, few storms that we've had, um, and, uh, everybody's pretty much in the same boat. So they're working on, uh, another load for us as well, um, but I don't have the timing on that yet. What's your biggest concern right now heading into this storm? You know, we're working very closely with our human services team and certainly their consumers. The social workers have been, you know, speaking to every one of those consumers with regards to, you know, what's in store for the weekend and certainly on Sunday. They've been preloading them with shelf stable meals and food, so just in case the homebound have to get stuck inside or, you know, we can't get to them right away that they're they're OK and they're being spoken to so they know what to expect. But we have a great human service team. They've been at this for days or be at it today. Uh, certainly tomorrow right into the storm, and we'll be working with them throughout, uh, prioritizing, you know, with our sheriff's office, anything that we need to do with regards to, uh, anybody that's got issues. You had asked me what our guys are calling for. Our guy Mike Rizzo this morning said expect a foot in some areas. You said you, you signed up for a foot. Well, I think we're under contract for about 1 ft, uh, with an option to buy another, you know, a few up to 14. So, uh, you know, we're seeing the 9 to 14 ranges, you know, most. The forecast models are showing us for for at least 1 ft um with you know a few more inches on top of that potentially and then we have the ice issue so uh we're in for a decent uh dump.
