According to the latest Auto Reliability Survey from Consumer Reports, electric vehicles have 79% more problems than other cars.
Experts say the issue isn't because the cars are electric but rather because EVs are mostly new models, meaning they haven't had the time to work out all of the kinks.
They also add that electric vehicles tend to be higher priced, and come with more sophisticated technology, which presents more opportunities for things to go wrong.
