Temperatures reach the freezing mark today for the first time in 9 days. It will reach a high of only 33, but it is enough to begin the melting process of the snow. The snow temperature is very cold, at 15 degrees, so it may not melt quickly, but it will help in some spots, especially where there is the thin stubborn layer of ice on pathways and roads.  There will be two rounds of light snow this week. The first one is Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning that will leave a light coasting in southern NJ, but only produce flurries in central and northern areas. Temperatures drop to the upper 20s on Wednesday midday.  The second round of light snow comes ahead of a very gusty weekend. Snow showers pass through on Friday night with light accumulations possible. Although, this system is a clipper that is moisture starved, so the snow will not be heavy. Winds pick up afterward and last through the weekend with another cold shot - temps in the 20s.
