For the first time since his accident, Gov. Jon S. Corzine had visitors, other than his family members, to his hospital room Friday.
Acting Governor Richard Codey and Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts spent about 20 minutes with Corzine at the Camden hospital. Both say the governor is doing well.
Roberts said it appears the accident that left Corzine critically injured turned him into a different person. ?Going through something that he went through makes you look at the world from a different perspective,? Roberts said.
Both feel Corzine is going to be more determined than ever to work hard and fight for things he believes in when he returns to office.
Corzine is planning to head back to the governor?s mansion next week. After that he will make a decision on when he is going back to work.
The governor was injured on April 12 when the SUV he was riding in crashed on the Garden State Parkway.
