Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says to expect a chance of rain on Monday night and into Tuesday morning. Some of that rain could be heavy for Tuesday's morning commute.
WHAT’S NEW: Hurricane Franklin becomes the first major category 3 hurricane of the season. We are already seeing long period swells from Franklin at the Jersey Shore. Tropical storm Idalia is likely to make landfall on Florida’s West Coast.
WHAT’S NEXT: Heavy rains overnight will likely affect South Jersey. As much as 1-2” of rain in the southern part of the state. Most of the rain will fall overnight and through the morning commute. Rain shower chances continue through Wednesday before skies clear and we look great for the upcoming weekend.
TODAY: Cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-60s to near 70. Highs today climb into the upper 70s.
