A couple known to do everything together was found dead inside their Clifton home Thursday.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office says that officers found the bodies of Lucia Orlando, 70, and her husband Cristifor Orlando, 74, just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers were conducting a welfare check on the couple “at the request of a concerned party.”
Neighbors say that the couple has lived in their Everson Place home for a long time.
“I didn’t sleep last night. They were very decent. You couldn’t ask for a more decent, loving family. Especially with the grandchildren,” says Valerie, a former tenant.
Sue Hamilton lives next door and says that the couple were inseparable and were filled with kindness.
"When my mother passed away on Nov. 18, they left a beautiful basket on the front porch. Beautiful crackers, candies, cheeses. It was gorgeous,” Hamilton says.
Authorities did not say how the couple died, but say that no suspects were being sought and that there is no danger to the public.
