Two days after two separate tornadoes touched down in Howell Township, the cleanup continued.
The National Weather Service confirmed that both tornadoes were an EF-0, the weakest tornado category with winds ranging from 65 to 85 mph.
A 35-foot pine tree that was uprooted in Oak Glen Park helped NWS officials to determine that a tornado struck and not a microburst. Officials said the tree fell southeast while much of the other debris scattered in various directions, proving rotation occurred.
Down the road about 3 miles away at the Home Depot, the second tornado struck. A News 12 viewer captured video of the funnel cloud forming in the parking lot.
