Chester residents who enjoy mowing their lawns early in the day may soon have to wait until the morning dew is well off the grass.
Some residents complain noisy mowers and other equipment wake them up on the weekends. The Borough of Chester is proposing an ordinance that would ban the use of lawn mowers, weed whackers and any gasoline-powered landscaping equipment during certain times of the day. The ban would be put in place during the week and on weekends.
The borough is taking a second look at the proposal that could change the times people rev up their mowers. Under the ordinance, anyone who violates the terms could face a fine.
