Changes coming to the Powerball lottery will mean a bigger jackpot.
Powerball lottery officials will be adding numbers to the game, which will mean jackpots will be larger, but the odds of winning will be lower.
The Powerball currently uses six numbers, and the odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 175 million. However once the new numbers are added, those odds go up to 1 in 292 million.
The changes coming this October will also mean that the odds of winning smaller prizes are greatly increased.
