Students and staff from Centenary College in Hackettstown will spend their winter vacation helping New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina.
Forty-five students and 15 members of the school's staff will help rebuild homes. Some of them have made this trip every year since the storm struck six years ago.
They'll spend six days rebuilding the hard-hit city, areas of which are still attempting to rebound. The volunteers do some fundraising for the trip, but cover most of the costs themselves.
Eighty percent of the city and neighboring parishes flooded and more than 800,000 people were forced from their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
