A New Jersey convenience store that sold last week’s winning Powerball lottery ticket received a bonus check from New Jersey Lottery.
The QuickChek in Cedar Knolls received a $30,000 check on Friday. The store sold the only jackpot-winning ticket in last Friday’s Powerball drawing. The ticket was worth $33.3 million.
"Since this year started, the New Jersey Lottery has made 18 other players millionaires, because they won second-tier prizes from Powerball or Mega Millions,” says New Jersey Lottery executive director James Carey. “That's 18 people that won $1 million or $2 million…just this year."
The person who won that jackpot has not yet come forward.
