News 12 caught up with the winners of Pizza Bowl 6, who joined Nick and Syma in studio Friday to showcase some of their award-winning food.

Domenick Calise, the owner of Bucky's in Chatham and winner of best pizza, and Tim Gashi, owner of Lucci's Pizza in Clifton and winner for best meatballs, claimed victory after multiple rounds of voting.

Pizza Bowl 6 was held on Jan. 31, returning to Redd's in the Meadowlands, and was judged by pizza enthusiasts and local celebrities.

The Pizza Bowl began after Guy Madsen launched a Facebook page called Jersey Pizza Joints during the COVID pandemic, which grew into the Pizza Bowl we now know and love.

This year's event raised more than $16,000, which will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
