A driver is lucky to be alive after their black Lexus was struck by an NJ Transit train near Radburn Station in Fair Lawn Wednesday evening.

The impact left the vehicle heavily damaged.

The driver managed to get out of the car and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

There were no passengers on board the train at the time.
