Capybara pups of Cape May County Zoo given names

Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Mozzarella and Ricotta have been spending winter in their barn, the Zoo wrote in a social media post.

Five capybara pups born at the Cape May County Zoo in November 2025 now have names.

Although their mother Marigold shares her name with a flower, the capybara keepers chose a different theme for her young.

Brie, Gouda, Havarti, Mozzarella and Ricotta have been spending winter in their barn, the zoo wrote in a social media post.

According to the zoo, the capybaras are most likely to be outside on sunny days in temperatures above 45 degrees.
