Rep. Jamaal Bowman was arrested by U.S. Capitol Police Thursday at a voting rights protest.
Bowman was arrested along with at least 20 other people outside the U.S. Capitol Building, his office said.
“Today, Congressman Jamaal Bowman joined a voting rights non-violent direct action at the North Barricade of the U.S. Capitol Building and was arrested by the U.S. Capitol Police,” said Marcus Frias, Bowman's communications director. “We will provide more information and updates as we gather them.”
