It was a busy day at the polls in Passaic County for the first day of early in-person voting.

In Wayne, long lines wrapped around the Wayne Public Library.

The Passaic County Elections Office says it was preparing for high early-voter turnout.

For many it was the first time they'd taken part in the process.

"You have to make a difference you. You can't complain about things. You have to get out there and you have to cast your vote so that you know our future moves the way that you feel fit," said voter Bruce Phillips.

There are three ways you could vote in this election - voting in-person early, mail in ballot if you requested one or on Election Day.

The early voting period ends on Nov. 3.
