A Brooklyn boy has died days after he was pulled out of a swimming pool in New Jersey.
Tenafly police say Michael Placide died Sunday at Hackensack University Medical Center. He had turned 9 while in the hospital.
Placide was pulled from the pool at the Kaplen JCC On The Palisades community center on Thursday afternoon. CPR was in progress when police and paramedics arrived.
He was initially taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center before he was transferred to Hackensack.
Authorities say the boy died on Sunday afternoon surrounded by his family. 
There is no word on the cause of death.
