Police believe two suspects behind a string of recent armed robberies at local fast food restaurants hit two more stores in different counties early Tuesday morning.
The team is suspected of sticking up two Dunkin' Donuts stores Tuesday - one off Route 4 in Paramus at around 3 a.m. and another one off Route 46 in Rockaway shortly after 5 a.m.
Authorities say the two men are getting more comfortable and more aggressive with their holdups. Surveillance video from the Paramus robbery shows one of the men pulling out a gun and casually walking behind the cash register. The pair was out the door in less than a minute.
In each holdup, one of the two men does something to get the attention of and distract the clerk. The other man then draws a weapon and demands money. Police say the team is behind at least a dozen robberies in the past few weeks.
