Boy, 15, ID’d as Paterson shooting victim
A 15-year-old boy was the victim of a shooting Wednesday night in Paterson, the Passaic County prosecutor said in a press release Thursday.
According to the release, police officers responded around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired in the area of Carroll Street. A 15-year-old boy was found at the scene suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes said the boy was taken to a hospital for a non-life-threatening wound and later released.
After investigators canvassed the suspected crime scene, it is believed multiple shots were fired, Valdes said.
As of Thursday, no arrests had been made. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
