A boil water advisory that was issued in parts of South Paterson and Clifton has been lifted following a water main break.
The Passaic Valley Water Commission says that the repairs are complete and the water has been tested. The commission says that residents may now resume their normal water use.
Customers in the affected areas are urged to run all cold faucets in their homes for about three minutes, empty and clean automatic ice makers and water chillers and drain and refill their hot water heater if the temperature is set below 113 degrees.
The water main break happened on Wednesday and impacted several areas of Paterson and Clifton, including at St. Joseph’s Medical Center
