7h agoThe borough of Fair Lawn has lifted its boil water advisory following a massive water main break in Paterson.
The pipe ruptured Sunday afternoon near North 1st and Arch Street. Officials say repairs are now complete and the water is safe to drink.

Residents are encouraged to take the following precautionary steps:
- Run faucets for three to five minutes to flush plumbing.
- Empty and clean automatic ice makers and water chillers.
- Drain and refill hot water heaters if set below 113 degrees.
- Regenerate or clean water softeners and cartridge filters.
- Drain and refill water reservoirs in tall buildings, if applicable.
