The body of a Fairview man who went missing in Jersey City has been found, according to Fairview police.

Luis Garcia, 27, was reported missing on July 16 after a night out with friends in Jersey City.

Fairview police say that the lifeless body of a man matching Garcia’s description was found on July 20. Police did not immediately say where Garcia’s body was found or how he died.

“Our department sends the Garcia family our deepest condolences,” Fairview police said in a statement on Facebook.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death.
