A Bloomfield man was arrested after prosecutors say he attempted to rob five teens at gunpoint during an arranged Facebook Marketplace meetup last month in Wallington.
Prosecutors say five teens met with Cristopher Pacheco-Rosario, 19, on Oct. 24 around 6:30 p.m. at Samuel Nelkin County Park. The teens went to the park to meet the seller after arranging to purchase a bicycle from Facebook Marketplace, according to officials.
Once Pacheco-Rosario arrived at the park, prosecutors say he allegedly pointed a gun at the teens and attempted to rob them. The teens all fled on foot.
Pacheco-Rosario was arrested by Bloomfield police Monday for a separate incident. He faces several charges, including armed robbery and aggravated assault.
