Beyoncé's ‘Cowboy Carter’ show is saddling up and riding into MetLife Stadium this week
A transit strike and measles scare won’t put a stop to large crowds for Beyoncé's five-night “Cowboy Carter” series at MetLife.

The New Jersey Transit strike is over, and getting to all five nights of Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” concert series at MetLife Stadium is on track.
Travel plans for Shakira fans were derailed last week when NJ Transit engineers went on strike, forcing concertgoers to make alternate plans.
Days later, the state Department of Health alerted fans of a potential exposure to measles after a non-New Jersey resident attended the concert while infected.
"Measles is a highly contagious virus. Anybody who has symptoms needs to be mindful of that and ideally shouldn’t be at the concert,” says Dr. Sean Flynn, of Step By Step Pediatrics.

Flynn told News 12 that people should be careful in general and that the virus can last up to two hours in the air. But a measles exposure at the stadium last week should not affect concertgoers this week, according to Flynn. He says there are ways to stay safe.
"The only way to really try to reduce your risk of getting measles is to get vaccinated," Flynn said.
Those who were not able to score tickets to Beyoncé’s shows can always head over to the American Dream megamall or nearby Redds Restaurant and Bar. Restaurant manager Michael Johnson says his establishment is ready for the “Cowboy Carter” crowd.
"We shuttle to and from the stadium, our buses get right in and right out, and you come back after, and you have a good time," Johnson said.
Restaurants at American Dream will be offering discounts and drink specials and serving up dishes like the “This Ain’t Texas” burger. There will also be a “Hive Lounge” for a “Cowboy Carter” pre-concert silent disco.
