A group of Bethpage schoolchildren had the out-of-this world opportunity to talk to NASA astronauts on Friday.
Central Boulevard Elementary School students got to ask hard-hitting questions through a livestream feed connected to the International Space Station.
“How do you go about your everyday life in zero gravity?” asked one child.
School officials say the chat was a part of their yearlong Reading Is a Blast Program.
“It doesn't matter if you're 2 years old or 102 years old, space is one of those topics that people want to know and ask questions about,” said Bethpage School District Director of Science Chris Pollatos.
