St. Patrick's Day is still 16 days away, but the party has started early in Belmar and Lake Como.
Sunday was their annual St. Patrick's Parade, and as bagpipe music filled the air, 6,000 people braved the weather and filled the sidewalks.
While this year featured everything Ireland, from green ties to an Irish Elvis, the parade is a tradition. It's always held on the first Sunday in March.
"When we first started we were probably the smallest parade in state," says Chip Cavanaugh, the parade's chair. "The parade has just grown. It's gotten so big and we've never changed the date."
