Officials say Scott Hurring, 43, is accused of fatally shooting Erica Voloshin, 37, on Sunday. It is unclear what their relationship was.
Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. on Meacham Street in Belleville. Voloshin was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
Hurring was charged with murder and unlawful possession of a weapon. He is currently in custody.
The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made.
