A massive search and rescue effort ended Wednesday night after divers found the body of a construction worker in the Manasquan River.
Officials say the incident occurred in Brielle, where a barge overturned earlier in the day. One worker was rescued immediately, but divers and other emergency personnel couldn't locate the body of another construction worker until around 8 p.m. The victim's identity was not made public.
The workers were in the process of dismantling the old Route 70 bridge when the barge overturned. Officials say they're investigating the cause of the capsize.
