BabyCenter released their 2026 top baby names list, revealing a mix of old and new trends throughout the year.

Last year’s leading champions, Olivia and Noah, kept their top spots. Eliana, Amelia, Charlotte and Sophia round out the top five for girls.

One new girl name debuted in the top 100- Magnolia. Evelyn rejoined the top 10 girl names after falling out of favor in 2024.

Noah, Liam, Oliver, Elijah and Mateo remain the most popular boy names for the third consecutive year. Four new boy names made it to the top 100- Milo, Stetson, Archer and Dean.

Other key findings from the list include a spike in the popularity of longer names. 29% of the top girl names and 31% of the top boy names have seven or more letters.

Parents also took a liking to certain initials, according to BabyCenter. 15% of the top 100 girl names start with the letter E, while 14% of the top 100 for boys begin with J.
