Authorities say the woman captured on video climbing into the lion’s den at the Bronx Zoo is wanted once again – this time for missing a court date.
A warrant has now been issued for the arrest of Myah Autry.
Autry, 32, was last seen last month at her arraignment hearing, where she was charged with two counts of criminal trespassing. She was originally arrested near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Autry was also in court for separate charges in Kearny, telling reporters she tried to turn herself in. Police say she was planning on turning herself in, and called police to tell them where she was going to be.
According to police, Autry entered the giraffe and lion exhibit back on Sept. 28 without permission or authority.
In an Instagram video, the trespasser can be heard telling the animals she loves them. News 12 has spoken with zoo visitors who said this was nothing more than a plea for social media attention.
The Bronx Zoo has called it a serious violation and an unlawful trespass.
