Authorities have announced a homicide investigation after the body of a woman was found inside a room at the Bel-Air Motor Lodge in Maple Shade. 

Police were called to the motel in the 2800 block of Route 73 Wednesday just before 11:30 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive female. 

The name of the woman hasn't been released until her identity is confirmed and her family has been informed about the crime.

Police say the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. 

No arrests have been made.
