Authorities say a Delta Air Lines flight was evacuated after a fire broke out in the plane's wheel well on the taxiway at JFK Airport.
The Port Authority says the fire was extinguished Monday just after 7 p.m.
According to a statement from Delta, flight 420 aborted a takeoff following an airspeed warning indication and while it was taxiing back to the gate, the brakes overheated.
The Port Authority says there were no flight disruptions.
There were no reports of any injuries.
